Books to Read
“Is the clock a slavemaster- or a tool that serves you?”
“Are urgent things so pressing that you don’t have ‘inner time’ to sort our what’s really important?”
These are the kinds of questions addressed in Charles E. Hummel’s book, Freedom from Tyranny of the Urgent. This is a powerful and practical quick read of only 132 pages. No need to be intimidated, this is not dense heavy materiel thats difficult to read through. It is Interesting, funny and so inspiring. There are a few different activities in the book you can choose to do or not. I personally did not do each and every one of them, but the principals, nonetheless, made a lasting impact. I can truly say that this books has been a life -altering one for me as it has re-oriented my mental framework related to how my time is spent.
